Description

This spicy miso pasta is packed with umami with a nice spicy kick and topped with furikake seasoning for extra flavor. It’s so good that you’ll be amazed by how simple it is to make. Serve it as a vegetarian main course or alongside your favorite mains for a quick side dish.


Ingredients

  • 16-ounces spaghetti
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4  large garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/21 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 4 tablespoons miso paste
  • 2 tablespoons furikake seasoning, optional for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large stockpot with salted water, cook pasta according to package directions for al dente. Reserve 1 cup pasta water before draining the pasta.
  2. In the same pot, heat olive oil to medium. Add the garlic and crushed red pepper, sautéing until fragrant – about 30 seconds. Add miso pasta with a few tablespoons of pasta water, and stir until dissolved.
  3. Return pasta to the pot and toss with sauce until coated, adding additional pasta water if needed.
  4. Garnish with furikake seasoning before serving.
